Discretion
Private even when someone’s looking
Real life happens on trains, at work and on the couch next to someone else. Summer Ledger is built for it.
- Discreet mode blurs photos, partner names and notes until you tap them
- The browser tab just says “Summer Ledger”, and the app goes blank in the app switcher
- Quick exit hides everything in an instant, and can sign you out as it goes
- A separate gallery code for photos and videos, which locks again on its own
- Emails and notifications never mention partners or health details

Checks on new devices
A device your account hasn’t seen before has to prove it’s you before it gets in.
Two-step verification
Add a second step with an authenticator app, an emailed code or a passkey, with backup codes just in case.
Passkeys and Face ID
Sign in with Face ID, Touch ID or your device PIN, which can’t be phished, and lock the iPhone app with Face ID or Touch ID.
Sign-in alerts
We tell you when your account is used somewhere new, with a one-tap “That wasn’t me”.
Signed-in devices
See every device signed in to your account, and sign out any you don’t recognize.
Guessing stopped
Repeated wrong guesses at your password or gallery code are shut down, and we let you know.
AI, on your terms
- Off until you turn it on. No AI feature runs until you say yes, and you can turn them all off again in Settings.
- Only for what you ask. When you use a feature, the data it needs for that request goes to the provider, like the notes being summarized or the entries that answer your question. While AI is off, nothing is ever sent.
- Never for training. Our AI providers aren’t allowed to use your content for their own purposes, to train their models or to sell it.
- You decide what the Companion keeps. See and edit its memory, set topics to avoid, and choose whether chats are saved at all.
How your data is kept
- Encrypted throughout. Everything is encrypted on its way to us and while it’s stored, your journal and your photos alike.
- Secrets stay secret. Your password, gallery code and other sign-in details are never stored in a form anyone could read, us included.
- Trusted infrastructure. Your journal and photos are stored with Cloudflare, a leader in internet security.
- No tracking. Only essential cookies, and site analytics that count page views without cookies or identifying you.
- No card numbers. Payments are handled by Stripe or Apple; we never see or store your card.
